Bad Mommy

Yeah, so today, I just didn't feel like being a mommy. So I took The Hethan and his friend to the dollar theatre after school today. We watched Madagascar. Then I took Friend home. Then I took Hethan and myself home. I turned on Go, Diego, Go for him, and I escaped upstairs to start on plasticising the windows (we need new windows....) and to watch M*A*S*H. If you're a long time reader of my Musings, then you know of my addiction to M*A*S*H. If you're not, suffice it to say I have an addiction.

So anyhow, I did agree to play an electronic game with the kiddo. Here's where Bad Mommy comes in.... Hethan plays "Shooting" with Daddy--- James Bond sorta stuff, they shoot guns and blow things up. I love playing the game myself, but I have mixed feelings about the little one playing. Anyhow, today he asked if we could play Perfect Dark, and I agreed. So we sat together and shot things and blew them up. If he ends up a bully or worse, I take full responsibility.

At bedtime, The Hethan was starting his delaying tactics (I need water, I need to go potty, There are Monsters, There are shadows, There's a cat under my bed [legitimate, I guess], etc.) and I told him to get it out of his system NOW, because I wasn't coming back upstairs anymore. Well, sure enough, in 15 minutes, he wants to switch from his bedroom to the Napping Room (nursery/spare bedroom) and wanted Mommy to come help him. I hollered up the stairs, "I'm not coming up. If you want to sleep in the Napping Room, you go get yourself in there and tuck yourself in." And he did. Bad Mommy, not tucking my child in for the second or third time of the night.

Yeah. So. I'm tired. We get to find out how many babes we're having tomorrow, ultrasound in the afternoon! HooRay!!!Hope for one, at the most, two. :) No more than that, please! :)

OK--you are so not bad! We are hoping we are out of the woods with our almost 3 year old shrieking at the top of her lungs the nanosecond we leave her room after tucking her in. That's been going on for awhile. The only thing more annoying than that is that she won't poop on the toilet. But I digress.

Tomorrow is going to be an exciting day! Do Blog when you get home, young lady!!!
