TPJ's Birthday and More

So we had TPJ's birthday party on Sunday. A big thank you to Tyler (Wookie, Darth Tyler) and Shan (Darth Shan) for their participation in the festivities. Tyler, may I just say that you do a marvelous job of dying. And Shan, TPJ is wanting YOUR light saber... watch out! :)

I was harse by the end of the party. I corralled all of the kiddos into games such as an asteroid hunt, Padme Says, Light Saber training (keeping balloons up in the air with light sabers), and various other things. I made TPJ's Yoda cake. I was DONE by 6 pm on Sunday. But my kid had a happy party, and I guess that's what matters. As soon as I upload some pictures, I'll put them on here... really... I will...

I hate snot. I hate boogers. So it says a lot about me that I cleaned boogers out of Starbuck's crib today without vomiting. As soon as she wakes up, I need to change the crib sheet. Ick. Ick. Ick.

This month is crazy! TPJ goes off to visit Nanny and Pop Pop this Friday, for a week. School starts in three weeks. KINDERGARTEN. Chrissy, I'll drop you a line soon--- possibly crying on your shoulder the day TPJ gets on the bus... :) We have work picnics, baseball games, outings, and a gazillion other things planned.

So, someone made an appointment under my name at a salon. I did not do this. Yet apparently, I showed up for said appointment. And I received a thank you card from the salon. Needless to say, I'm making sure that I am not a victim of identity theft/fraud. Scary!

Aaron's car has returned to us. What's that? I didn't tell you how his car died? He has a beautiful Mazda3, only 56000 miles on it. He got the oil changed, it promptly started leaking oil. He took it back, they said it was the drip pan. A week later, he's driving down the interstate--- wham! It threw a rod. Turns out the oil place used the wrong seal and cracked the oil filter housing. Resulting in a blown engine. They replaced the engine, gave him a loaner car, and life is back to normal. However, I think Aaron will listen to me from now on when I say, "Honey, your car is STILL leaking oil, something is still not right." But then again, maybe not. :)

Ok, I'm off to babysit. Babies are waking up, after my brief 20 minute overlap of silence. Ahhh, already, that's more quiet time than I got yesterday! :)
